Buddy's is clearly modeled on Five Guys Burgers and Fries. They make hand-cut fries from fresh potatoes, and the "regular" burger (you choose turkey or beef) is two patties. They offer a slew of free toppings; I chose fried onions and garlic spinach on mine. You can get plain, seasoned, or white cheese fries.
The Menu
The place was clean and friendly; however, their location on the "back side" of Main St. may prove to be a challenge. Appetites on Main, nearby, has a much superior location (as well as a surprisingly good cheesesteak). Our fries were excellent, and the burgers fresh and well constructed. They used nice, fresh, sesame-seeded burger buns.
How does it stack up to Five Guys? A little cheaper, a lot friendlier, about maybe 90% as tasty. Not bad. As far a burger joints go, I give them 7.5 out of 10.
